Prayers to the family of Wes Phillips.  I will never forget the great "Tuba" player.  Who else would have the guts to carry one of those big instruments in a parade and on the football field?   Great Memories!

Robbie Wellemeyer (Roberta Armstrong) was in Denver and we had dinner and a toast to Wes Phillips.  He was such a nice guy.

What a great guy!  Wes will be greatly missed by all. I can remember when he went out for the football team and the coaches put him across from me to block, well that didn't happen, it was more like him running over me.  We always laughed about that.

Wes always had a big heart and a big smile on his face and he loved life!  RIP big guy!

Wes and I became friends in 1963. He had a crush on my friend Kathy Hanson and I was dating his friend Roger. We remained friends through the years and have had so many wonderful conversations. He was passionate about his family, his friend and his faith. I will miss him so much, but I am glad his pain has gone forever.

I used to socialize with Wes in various parking lots around town--he had a new Chevrolet Impala, and could smash beer cans on his head.  I thought this was pretty good then I found out they were aluminum.
