I graduated from Friends University with a bachelor's in education in 1970. That summer my husband Duane Frederick, whom I met at Friends, and I married. I received my Masters in Education from THE WSU in 1978. From 1970 until 2008 I taught in Augusta,Ks, at Bishop Carroll High School, and Wichita Northwest. I now teach as an adjunct at Friends University. We immensely enjoy our lively, but lovable, grandsons, and our precious baby granddaughter. Our daughter Jennifer, mother of all seven of our grandchildren, lives in Marion, Ks, with her husband Jon; our son Jeremy is a CPA here in Wichita; and our Jessica and her husband Adam live in Sioux City, IA, where he coaches football at Morningside College and she teaches high school math. My Mama had a heart attack the morning our granddaughter was born this last September 3. My Mama died September 6. I'm posting a picture taken of our children and all the grandchildren with Duane and me after the funeral dinner at the church. God is SO good; it was the cycle of life. My Mama had a wonderful life of 95 years and God gave us a precious new little life.
School Story:

I remember our Pep Club being 400 strong and all the great triple-header games at the Round House. I remember humble Eddie Kriwiel at our raucous pep assemblies and our fantastic football teams--lst in state all three years! I remember, except for Tim Gorsuch, our basketball team consisting mainly of our football players. I remember Eugene Wee being SO smart and running SO fast in track. I remember great times working on the Westword newspaper and the Trail yearbook. I remember being in the school library during lunch and hearing that President Kennedy had been shot. I remember the long walk home that day.

We were able to see our oldest daughter, her husband, and our six grandsons and precious granddaughter this Memorial Day, 2015. WE ARE BLESSED!
