My best memories of Judy are at Martinson Elementary School through sixth grade. After that she attended Mayberry and West. Judy had had polio and had to wear heavy braces on her legs. She was always a trooper to be where the rest of the students were. At recess she faithfully stood against the brick wall of the school watching the rest of us run and play. The Martinson Library was on the third floor. A few of us girls were blessed to be the chosen ones to help Judy up and down stairs. Judy would hold onto one of the rails with one hand and place her other hand between my two hands. I would move up one step and then she would put pressure on my hands as she moved her legs one at a time to the step where I stood. We girls considered it a special privilege to be with Judy. She had a very pretty face framed with dark hair. I plan to find and post a picture of our kindergarten class on my profile page. You'll find Judy and some other pioneers in it. Ella Lehl Frederick

I remember Judy's sweet smile and sitting by each other in art class in 7th grade. My thoughts are with her family.

I remember Judy from Martinson. Once my parents had a Halloween party or maybe a birthday party for me and I remember my dad carrying Judy into the garage (where the party was held...oh yeah we were all Class!).
