Wally and I were great friends in our Senior year.  I picked him up in my 53 Chevy almost every school day in our Senior Year.  After graduation Wally and I got our first summer job at Grady Foundry on Harry St.  He worked in the core room and I worked as a weight shifter on the molds.

I remember seeing him our first week of hard work there.  He was covered with sand, soot, grime and just plain dirt.  His dirt was light brown. Mine was dark black!  He looked at me with a look as if to say, "What a fine mess you've gotten us into NOW."  Lots of hard work, but it taught us both the value.

Blessings upon his family as they continue on.
